Lumos Pinot Gris, 2009
We have long admired (and consumed) Lumos owner Dai Crisp’s work in the vineyards and the winery. He farms organically at vineyards he manages (the Rudolfo vineyard just outside of Corvallis, and Temperance Hill in the Eola hills) and at the estate vineyard in Wren, west of Corvallis.
The 2009 Rudolfo Pinot Gris is clean, crisp, with citrusy qualities that are counterbalanced by pear and peach flavors. Try it with a late season Caprese salad, antipasti, pasta and light cream sauces.
