Edible Portland
Edible Portland is published by Ecotrust's Food & Farms program. Since 2001, the Food & Farms program has been investing in building direct market connections between farmers, ranchers, and fishermen and restaurant chefs, grocery retail buyers, institutions and distributors. One of five major program areas of the Portland-based nonprofit Ecotrust, the Food & Farms program works to create a vibrant regional food system where sustainability is the underlying value of the mainstream food system — the norm rather than the exception. |

Culinate is a welcome addition to the web, and more. It’s an ongoing conversation about learning to eat well and to help people put real food at the center of their lives.
Culinate is a place for eaters - co-producers- who want to know where their food comes from and how their food is produced.

The cycling circus comes to Mississippi
Cirque du Cycling, presented by Laughing Planet Café, is part circus, part bike street race and a benefit for Self Enhancement, Inc.
The whole event kicks off June 13, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. on N. Mississippi with a free three mile family ride to Peninsula Park. There is also a bike parade (advance registration required) featuring all sorts of wild sculptural bikes: tall bikes, choppers, swing bikes and more. |
