The wines of Produttori del Barbaresco with Produttori marketing director, Aldo Vacca
Portland’s passion for Piedmont is no secret. Local writer Matt Kramer penned a cookbook that captures the culinary wealth of Italy’s northwest region. Portland restaurants and wine shops, and us, too, feature the vinous wonders of the area.
Certainly we can all takes credit for promoting and enjoying the gastronomic riches of Piedmont, but if one person above all is to be acknowledged, it’s Aldo Vacca from the Produttori del Barbaresco winery. Aldo travels the world over representing his winery and his region. He has made numerous trips to Portland and we are fortunate that his schedule again allows him to visit Pastaworks.
We hope to preview the soon to arrive 2005 single vineyard Barbareschi, but regardless, there will be great wines to sample, including the 1996 Asili. Stop in for a taste of some great wines and meet Piedmont's unofficial ambassador, Aldo Vacca.

Pre-payment guarantees your spot. Refunds or credits only if we cancel because the event is under-booked. Please call 503-232-1010 or email rsvp@pastaworks.com for reservations or with questions. If you anticipate wanting to purchase wine after an evening class, please bring a check or gift certificate, as the registers will be closed when the class is over.
